Petter Kapstad
Petter Kapstad has led and developed Statoil’s Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) for over 14 years, with responsibility for insurance, credit, operational risk, strategic risk, and market risk. He has extensive experience as an advisor to international companies, board members, and various boards. Kapstad has chaired Exportfinans’ control committee for several years and has given many lectures on ERM and risk management over the past decades. He also has experience as an expert judge and is one of four contributors behind the IIA’s guidelines for the risk management function and questions a board should ask the administration about risk management. Kapstad is a guest lecturer at Lund University and BI in Norway, and this year marks his 25th anniversary at Equinor (formerly Statoil) – and 25 years in risk management and trading.
